About me
Barnabite. General Library and Archivist of the Centro Studi Storici dei PP. Barnabiti, Rector of the church of SS. Biagio e Carlo ai Catinari. Born in Peumo (Chile). I have always had a predilection for history and library and archival environments, which I consider fundamental elements of our memory and identity, and the educational challenges that libraries and archives provide. I completed my initial formation at the Barnabite school in San Vicente de T.T. (Chile), subsequently attending higher education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (Religious Sciences) and the Alberto Hurtado University, where I obtained a university degree in Education. I attended the Faculty of History and Cultural Heritage of the Church at the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Vatican School of Paleography, Diplomatics and Archival Studies in the Secret (now Apostolic) Vatican Archives. My research areas, in addition to the archival and librarianship environments, are the history of the Barnabite Order, born in 1530, particularly the period of founding, approbation in 1533 and the period in which the Barnabites open themselves to the educational field, Restoration and Italian Risorgimento (1815 - 1861), specially the figure of the Barnabite Cardinal Giuseppe M. Granniello. I currently follow the work of cataloging and inventorying the material belonging to the distinguished religious of Christian Archeology, Egyptology, Ecumenism areas.
